“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.”
― Maya Angelou
To feel safe and loved for who we are is the absolute minimum sentient beings need to feel at home anywhere. Acceptance lights the hearth fire. Lack of acceptance causes depression and withdrawal.
What about adults who were raised without? Can they provide this minimum for their own children?
Some people will only feel at home when they die. Life here on earth was too traumatic, too stressful. Some people are not able to provide a home in the true sense for their offspring because they never had one themselves.
If you have a home where you feel safe, give thanks. And light a candle for those who don’t.
Be glad for those who are about to cross over and finally be at rest… finally be at home… because some people only find this minimum on the Other Side. This planet is harsh like that.
